For more than thirty years, The Stuff of Legends website has been the go-to site for fans, historians and enthusiasts of fantasy miniatures. First established by Richard Hale, as a personal project, in the mid-1990s, The Stuff of Legends has continued to meticulously curate and catalogue the subsequent growth of the fantasy miniatures painting and gaming hobby.

With a foreword by Rick Priestley and commentary from both Alan Merrett and Richard Hale, The Stuff of Legends tells that story through the miniatures themselves. Each one stands tall, as a testament to the creativity of the sculptors, manufacturers, painters and artists that brought it to life.
