Fight for liberty with George Washington!

July’s Soldier of Fortune depicts George Washington, who needs little introduction. The commander of the Continental Army during the American War of Independence, and the first President of the new United States of America, Washington is rightfully one of the most famous figures in American history - fitting, then, that he’s July’s Soldier of Fortune!

Our miniature has Washington in a dramatic pose, reminiscent of the Emanuel Leutze painting depicting his famous crossing of the Delaware River on Christmas 1776. However, as scenic rivers are often a little rare on Black Powder tables, we’ve opted to have him standing on a (possibly cherry!) tree stump instead, gazing out over the field of battle.

Supplied with two head options - one with powdered and queued hair, and the other sporting a rather fetching bicorne, George Washington is of course an absolutely essential figure for anyone wargaming the American War of Independence. In addition, his uniform makes him a great opportunity to really show off your painting skills.

Washington can’t hang around long, as he’s got the small business of a war to win and a nation to found.
