These frames allow you to rapidly build 4x4 block units to form regiments and brigades. Each frame provides a mix of line and light infantry in the classic blue uniform that the Americans were known for, although numerous regiments throughout the years of the war wore different color schemes.
Two of these frames built and grouped on 40mm x 40mm stands provide adequate frontage for the Black Powder rules with 2x2 blocks of line infantry assuming you have a command sprue plus the included skirmishers or light infantry.
I like the variety of poses but have found my favorites to be the Line body "A" which is a Soldier firing plus a line body "B" which is Soldier at the ready. Body "C" and "D" allow for different arms for various poses.
The figures paint quickly allowing regiments to be completed within a weekend if you spend the week clipping, sanding and gluing them up. I have found priming them makes it easier for acrylics to stick.
The figures look like normal humans, more slender and tall than other brands pewter figures. They mix well with Warlords pewter figures.
