Tough, lavishly equipped and politically indoctrinated, SS troops formed over 38 divisions and numerous other regimental and battalion-sized units, totalling nearly a million men under arms.
Their armoured units won many plaudits for their actions, and although relationships between regular army units and the Waffen-SS were sometimes strained, most SS units fought ferociously, against great odds until the wars end in Berlin, 1945.
The Waffen-SS was a controversial organisation - their zeal and discipline could not be questioned although their many documented atrocities will perhaps be their greatest legacy.
This boxed set contains 1,500 points of German SS-Grenadiers.
The army list can easily be reconfigured to suit your playing style and when you are ready to expand your force there are plenty of options in the ever-growing Bolt Action range of miniatures and vehicles.
Aside from the plastic and metal models shown in the list below, this set also includes Bolt Action vehicle stat cards, waterslide decals, damage markers and assembly leaflets.

So, there's a 1,500 character limit on writing reviews and whilst writing quite an extensive review, I realised it wouldn't be enough.
So I'm summarising the key likes and dislikes. At the time of writing there was no reviews here and YouTube had limited videos, so decided to post this in the event you end up on this page potentially thinking about buying it. This is my first Warlord Games Product.
Good:
- At this price it's amazing value per points in the game. I've comfortably listed for a 1,000 point army. However both tanks aren't compliant to list builders. So view this box as a 1,000 point army + an extra tiger to expand on in the future.
- The moulds/quality and the variety are super good. I'm in a position where I am sure I can build all of these soldiers and would struggle to make 2 look the same! The weapon choices are great!
- There's a lot of variety in this box, it's nice having a box set that's all-round a good buy. I.e. the PAK40 and MMG are a good edition to a company.
Bad:
- The tanks aren't to scale with the infantry. It's a scaled miniature game and to find the tanks were tiny compared to the infantry was a bit of a let down. I'm hoping in the future WG release tanks to scale! (Even if they charge a little bit more money).
- The bases are a bit underwhelming. But this is just my view. £40 into games workshop bases has fixed this small issue.
Altogether, massively worth the money and a lot of fun to be had! 5/5! Hoping to spend more money soon!
