US Armoured Fist

This was my first Bolt Action purchase and I am very happy with it. You get a lot of stuff for your money and it feels like a good way to start off your American army.
You get 6 sprues that make 5 figures each, 4 weapon sprues, and 3 each of the 2 half-track sprues along with the vehicle decals and assembly sheets. There's a good amount of variety on the figure sprues which will allow you to build a diverse force. I like that the packs, pouches and weapons are all separate parts which are great for your bits box when you're finished--everyone can use a few extra guns and stowage! The figures are heroic scale making them satisfying to paint as the details are a bit 'chunky'. The figures went together great with no real gaps. There were some mold lines but that's what you get with this hobby and they weren't excessive.
A few minor quibbles--the models can be a bit fiddly to assemble as far as arming them goes. Make sure to reference the parts guide and dry fit. I found the easiest way to put them together was to attach the gun to the firing arm first, attach that arm to the model then attach the supporting arm last. While there are 8 heads on the sprue (which is not bad) I feel like a couple more would have made this kit a bit better. Also, while I like the cigar chompin' head it stands out a bit too much to use more than a couple of times, further limiting options. There was also a broken mine rack in my kit (battle damage!).
Overall I can heartily recommend this!
