As with most British Commonwealth infantry sections, the British Infantry Section Winter is based around the sustained firepower of the Bren light machine gun, the other infantrymen carrying extra Bren magazines in addition to their own weapons.
Protected from the chill by their thick military grade woollen great coats and tough sleeveless leather jerkins, they also made good use of camouflaged groundsheets as protective capes along with woollen caps, scarves and gloves.
Whether the fight is in the frozen Italian hills and mountains or in the deep winter of France, the low countries or in Germany itself, these cheery British infantrymen can be relied on to do their duty for King and Country!
Contains 10 metal figures - 1 NCO with SMG, 2-man Bren Gun LMG team, 1 infantryman with SMG, and 6 infantrymen with rifles, plastic bases and 1 Bolt Action order dice.
Models supplied unassembled and unpainted

Awesome little kit, everything you need for British regulars in winter gear. Slight downside is that there is only one set, so there's a risk of the army looking repetative in respect of their poses, but that's just metal monopose models in general I suppose.
All in all the quality and attention to detail were at the familiar high standard that we've come to expect from Warlord over the years, also they we're a pleasure to paint and the prep was minimal.
However, I own two kits and I feel a third would be the last as I don't want my infantry to look too "uniform" (and yes, I realise the irony in not wanting figures in almost identical cothing to look too similar). If I choose to add more than 30 infantry to my army i'll have to look for some conversion options. Don't let that remark detract from what is a beautiful kit though, they are well worth the money.
