Very limited re-run of an old miniature - limited to just 50 miniatures with no planned re-casting - These are due to be cast and shipped at the end of April / Early May!
Celtic society provided equal opportunities for women - they ruled and they fought alongside the men. Great names such as Boadicea and Cartimandua will long be remembered but there are also many accounts of Celtic women joining raiding parties.
This figure can be used in Hail Caesar and SPQR games for those wanting to run female warriors (as long as you don't mind bringing the kids to work) or could be used in Germanic SPQR armies that specifically have rules for the Wives of the warriors on the battlefield!
The Warrior wife model depicts a female, holding a child and the helmet of a Roman soldier, although this is inspired by a piece of artwork by the late Angus McBride, where the Celt woman appears to be the wife of a Roman Legionary - I like to think of it as a trophy.
Taken by a warrior, fierce and proud, giving her pride of place leading my warband in SPQR.
Extra points if anyone can kit-bash it so she's holding the torn off top of a Roman standard, golden eagle!
